Kidd Construction Co Inc., also known as Kidd Built Homes, has been actively building new homes in Fayetteville, Hope Mills, Raeford, NC and surrounding areas since 1976. Our founder, Harold Kidd, contributes its success to the “Golden Rule,” “Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.” In addition, he has been active in supporting the building industry by giving his time and resources to the Homebuilder’s Association and serving on the local, state, and national levels. Kidd Built Homes was honored by the Fayetteville Homebuilder’s Association as its 2005 Builder of the Year recipient, and in 2024 he received the prestigious Pillar of the Industry Award. Through the years, Harold has put together a business model that prides itself in providing a quality product at a reasonable price and delivering it in a timely manner.
Kidd Built Homes are quality built. Our homes are built by experienced subcontractors who have been working with our company for many years, and we only use top-grade building materials in all our projects. We take great pride in every new home we build, and we provide top-notch service to assure each buyer that we’re here to serve their every need.

MEET THE BUILDER
Harold Kidd, our President and Founder, grew up on a farm in central North Carolina and learned early on that hard work, perseverance, faith in God, love of country, and goodwill toward others are the cornerstones of a life well lived. He applies these values daily in his building business, consistently delivering quality homes at affordable prices. Harold understands the value of a dollar and knows that buying a home is often the largest investment a family will make. Because of this, he insists every homebuyer is treated with respect and provided with a high-quality, affordable product.
A U.S. Army Veteran who served during the Vietnam conflict, Harold knows the importance of family security during military deployments. He understands that housing should never be a concern for a soldier, which is why he emphasizes outstanding customer service and prompt communication.
With over 50 years of experience in the construction industry, Harold has been recognized for his contributions and leadership. He was honored as Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Fayetteville in 2005, and most recently, in 2024, he received the prestigious Pillar of the Industry Award from the same association—recognizing his lasting impact and dedication to the homebuilding industry.
Though Harold and his wife have plans to travel, he has no desire to retire. He has built a strong, trusted organization that runs efficiently even in his absence—many of his staff and subcontractors have been with him for over 20 years.
Beyond construction, Harold has diversified into ventures such as land development, daycares, mini storage facilities, and pawn shops. Still, his greatest passion is building houses that families can proudly call home.
